there is a lot of hype surrounding Tesla that clouds reality, as with everything else that falls victim to the media spotlight in this country. If they turn out to be no-shit great cars, then they will sell. They are going to sell no matter what for at least the first year or two based purely on hype and novelty, much like many other cars do, and then once the "status" benefit of the car wears off, the car has to stand on the merit of its design and or the value it delivers to the buyer.......we shall see. Looking at the other electric variants in that price range I don't understand the knee-jerk OMG-sentiment from longtime car guys/gals with any sense of perspective.
